Collapse Collection

The Collapse Collection was founded in 2025 as a performative “second insolvency administration” of René Benko’s fallen Signa empire. Instead of liquidating concrete and balance sheets, it transforms the symbolic aura of his rise and spectacular collapse into digital value: limited NFT collections tied to Munich’s empty properties and public debt. It was created to mirror speculative logics, redistribute symbolic capital, and invite the public to invest where their money symbolically returns to the creditors Benko left behind.
