Tamara-Danz-Straße 7, 10243 Berlin | 2022 | 57,000 m²
97.5 m tower in Berlin’s Mediaspree, 24 floors with 2,500 workplaces, conference and public dining areas. Urban sculpture design with high visibility, occupied by Zalando under a long-term lease.
Chronicles of this site
The building application was submitted in 2018, with construction scheduled to begin in March 2019. The Meandering, horizontal exposed concrete bands with a glass shell – planned by the Berlin based studio Gewers Pudewill – allows the tower to appear in a different light from every angle and depending on the position of the sun, thus emphasizing its lively and multi-layered cubature. Right opposite to the Uber Arena (former Mercedes Benz Arena) the Building completes Berlin’s Mediaspree-Complex and is under long term lease from Zalando.
The SIGNA-Deal
Austrian real estate and retail company Signa acquired the property in 2017 and built the tower. According to Signa, the total investment for the Stream Tower amounts to more than €200 Mio. The main tenant is Zalando.
Why should you own this piece?
Celebrated as an “urban sculpture” the Stream tower creates a dynamic and visually engaging presence in a cityscape with high visibility and excellent connectivity. Occupied by Zalando as a main tenant, investors are provided with a stable, reliable source of interest. Furthermore the building is part of the highly debated Mediaspree-Project and – due to Signa’s collapse – sparks interest among advocators and critics alike.
